Social Media For School Leaders

Last week I had the honor of presenting a webinar for NASSP, my national association. This was the first of three in a series presented by the 2012 Digital Principal Award winners.

Below is a synopsis of the webinar I did:

NASSP Digital Principal Award winner Eric Sheninger, principal of New Milford (NJ) High School, kicks-off the Digital Principal webinar series with his presentation on ways school leaders can effectively use social media in their schools. The educational landscape is changing thanks to continuous advances in technology. Get ready for the mission...FIRE....

Nova hd is one of the best game i have ever played in my samsung galaxy y. It comes with awesome thrilling action with limit-breaking graphics. Truly awesome game...

INSTRUCTIONS :

1. Root your samsung galaxy y or any armv6 qvga android device.if you dont know what rooting is or how to root or if you want chainfire 3D, go to this url: http://galaxyygoodies.blogspot.com/2012/05/step-1-rooting.html

2. Download and the apk file. Download and extract the data to    /sdcard/gameloft/games/

3.open chainfire 3D and select default openGL_settings ..and then, tick reduce texture quality..now, open 'load plugin' and select QUALCOMM..

4. Now, there is a bug in this game that the player will get stuck in a room..but dont worry ..it is easy to fix this bug.

STEPS TO FIX :

1) Download and Install Root

Explorer (Needs rooting) - LINK

2) Download this file Save Data here : LINK

3) Extract file and copy to SD card

4) Use Root Explorer (Allow) to copy

<com.gameloft.android.GAND.GloftNOHP>

in Save data, and go back to home,

copy it into /data/data/ and replace

the file

5) Open NOVA and select level

select easy, and select the level

that you want to play , you can start

your game at Level 4, Fall in

paradise.

6) With this you fix the game.

7. Launch and enjoy the game.

Gangstar : West Coast Hustle HD

Out to street....gangstar west coast hustle is the best game i have ever played on samsung galaxy y....nothing much to describe....it is just a GTA game with another name..it comes with hd quality...with visual analogue controlling ...ultra cool graphics..NEEDS A ROOTED PHONE..
STEPS :
1) root your samsung galaxy y or any armv6 qvga phone.if you dont know what rooting is or how to root, click here
2) download the data and apk.
3) install the apk. move the data folder to sdcard/gameloft/gangstar/
3) open chainfire 3D..(click here if you want chainfire 3D).tick reduce texture quality and select use plugin and select QUALCOMM...
4) enjoy the game

School Should Reflect Real Life

Many of us firmly believe in the potential that technology has to transform the teaching and learning cultures of schools. Whether it is used to enhance lessons, assess learning, engage students, or unleash creativity, technology has a defined role in a variety of school functions. Even though I am preaching to the choir, many schools still treat education as an effort in preparing students for a world that no longer exists. Technology is viewed as either a frill, distraction, or a non-factor in improving student achievement. The video below from Power On Texas provides a fantastic snapshot on how digital technology is transforming teaching and learning in Texas.

The video hammers home the point that for many students school does not reflect real life. The question then becomes how do we move those schools that are the most irrelevant in terms of meeting the diverse learning needs of their students to being the transformation process? This, in my opinion, is pivotal if we are to truly begin to reform education in a way that is meaningful to our students. Our students want to be creative, collaborate, utilize technology for learning, connect with their peers in other countries, understand the messages that media convey, and solve real-world problems. Schools and systems of education that do not embrace digital learning and place a high emphasis on standardization will always fail to resonate with our students.

STEP 1. Rooting

rooting is a method by which we
can have access to extra
software+hardware settings
which the manufacturers of the
devices have blocked access to
the user so that they can prevent
the user from bricking the
software of the phone
permanently.........once you root
the phone, you will lose your
phone's warranty,,but don't
worry,we can also unroot the
phone to get the warranty
back.if any wrong things are
done during the proceedure of
rooting, you may have your
phone software bricked..I'M NOT
RESPONSIBLE FOR SUCH
INCIDENTS.so, be careful.....
Tutorial -
1) Download the update.zip file
here - LINK
2) Now copy this update.zip file
directly in your phone’s SD Card
not in any folder.
3) Switch off your device and
restart it into recovery mode
using the following key
combination
Volume UP + Home Button +
Power Button
4) You will find your phone in
recovery mode with blue
coloured UI. You cannot use
touchscreen while your phone is
in recovery mode.
For making selections and
movements, you have to make
use of volume up/down keys
and make the selection by
pressing home key.
5) In the recovery mode menu,
there is an option 'apply update
from sdcard' Select it.
6) Choose the pasted update.zip
and click on “yes”.
7) After the patching of that file,
you will be back to the menu,
and there it’s written “reboot
system now”. Select it.
8) After the reboot, go to
phone’s main menu and if you
are able to find the “SuperUser”
App on it, it will simply mean
that you have rooted your
phone!

But wait..for really making use of rooting, you must install chainfire 3D : click here

now, download the three chainfire 3D plugins :
QUALCOMM

NVIDIA

POWERVR

now, open chainfire 3D and select install plugins / shaders and install the three plugins...done :D

NFS SHIFT

Here comes the popular NFS shift.....say goodbye to low graphic boring games....here is NFS shift..:D .....awesome high graphics....purchase items like nitro and customize your ride.....
Steps
1) root your samsung galaxy y or any other qvga armv6 device.
...the game wont work until the phone is rooted..if you dont know what rooting is, then click here.
2) download the apk and sd data.
3)install the apk.
4) extract the sd card data to sd card/android/data/
5)open chainfire 3D and select default open_GL settings and tick reduce texture quality. And then select use plugin and in the given menu, select qualcomm....
6)open the game...and start a race...after the loading, you can hear the racing sounds..when you do, tap the power button and wait for a 5 seconds and then unlock the screen..wait till the game menu appear.
7) touch on the arrow at the top left corner to resume the game.
8)ENJOY THE GAME...
